What is Beach Soccer?
Beach soccer is played five-a-side on a compact sand pitch by barefoot teams. Matches run three 12-minute periods with rolling substitutions, no offside and no ties (extra time and penalties settle a draw). Brazil, Portugal, Russia and Iran are the historical powers.
