What is Brännboll?
Brännboll is a Swedish bat-and-ball schoolyard sport in the same family as rounders and baseball. The batter tosses their own ball into the air and strikes it with a small wooden bat, then runs around four bases. It is a fixture of Swedish May 1st celebrations and the annual Brännbollsyran student festival in Umeå.
