Broomball

Broomball is a six-a-side team sport played on an ice hockey rink, but competitors wear special rubber-soled shoes instead of skates. A small round ball is struck with a broom (a stick with a molded plastic head). Games are usually two 20-minute halves. Canada, USA, Japan and Italy contest an active world championship.
