Canadian flicking-disc board game — flick wooden discs across a round board towards the central 20-point hole while knocking opponents off.
What is Crokinole?
Crokinole is a dexterity board game originating in 1870s Ontario, Canada, in the German-Mennonite community. Two or four players sit around a round wooden board and take turns flicking small wooden discs with a finger. The centre hole scores 20; concentric rings score 15, 10 and 5; discs knocked off the board score nothing. When opponents' discs are on the board you must flick to touch one first. The World Crokinole Championship in Tavistock, Ontario has run since 1999.
