What is Cyclocross?
Cyclocross is a winter cycling discipline raced on a short mixed-terrain lap of grass, mud, sand and steep climbs. Riders often dismount to jump barriers or shoulder the bike up steep pitches, then remount at speed. It is dominated by Belgian and Dutch riders, and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships crowns the annual rainbow jerseys.
