Eight-Ball Pool

Eight-ball is the world's most-played pool cue sport, contested on a six-pocket table with 15 numbered balls plus the cue. Each player is assigned solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15) after the break; once you've legally pocketed all yours, you can shoot the black 8 ball for the win. Pocket the 8 too early — or in the wrong pocket — and you lose.
