What is Fantasy LARP?
Fantasy LARP is the outdoor, costumed, weapon-swinging strand of live-action role-playing. Players don full costume and armour, and use padded latex ('boffer') weapons and clearly-declared spell packets to resolve combat. Multi-day fest LARPs like Bicolline in Quebec (5,000+ players), Empire in the UK (2,500+) and Conquest of Mythodea in Germany (8,000+) are among the largest role-playing events in the world.
