What is Fate?
Fate is a narrative-focused RPG system published by Evil Hat Productions from 2003. Character sheets describe personalities through short evocative 'aspects' ('Faster than a speeding bullet', 'Owe a debt to the crime boss'); players spend a shared 'Fate points' currency to invoke them for bonuses. Resolution uses four special Fate dice (each with +, blank, - faces). Fate Core and Fate Accelerated are the two standard cores.
