What is Freerunning?

Freerunning is a movement discipline coined by Sébastien Foucan in 2003 as an expressive artistic extension of parkour. Where parkour prioritises efficient travel over obstacles, freerunning adds acrobatic flips, spins and tricks. Competition events like Red Bull Art of Motion and FIG Parkour freestyle judge difficulty, execution, flow and creativity.
