What is GIPF?
GIPF is the flagship of Kris Burm's celebrated GIPF Project of connected abstract games. Two players push pieces one at a time onto a hexagonal grid; when four in a row line up they are removed and the player captures the ones that were pushed off the edges. It has spawned a whole series of related games (TAMSK, ZÈRTZ, DVONN, YINSH, PÜNCT, TZAAR).
