Hive

'Chess without a board' — build a growing hive of hexagonal insect tiles and surround the enemy Queen Bee.

What is Hive?

Hive is a modern abstract strategy game where players take turns placing or moving hexagonal insect tiles to build a shared, ever-growing hive. Each insect (Queen Bee, Beetle, Grasshopper, Ant, Spider) moves differently. The goal is to surround the opponent's Queen Bee on all six sides. Because there is no board, the play area shifts and reshapes every turn — a genuinely novel design that has spawned multiple expansions.
