What is Ice Cross Downhill?
Ice cross downhill (formerly Red Bull Crashed Ice) is a winter sport in which four skaters in full hockey gear race head-to-head down a steep floodlit ice track built into a city centre. Riders descend up to 400 m at over 80 km/h through jumps, rollers and hairpins. Contact is legal; crashes are frequent.
