Kalah

Kalah is a modern commercial mancala variant patented in the United States in the 1940s. Each side has six small pits and one large 'kalah' store; seeds are sown anticlockwise and a seed landing in the player's own kalah earns another turn. Simple to learn and fully solved with perfect play from the first player, Kalah is the mancala variant most commonly sold in Western toy shops.
