What is Mas-Wrestling?
Mas-wrestling is a traditional Sakha (Yakut) strength sport, now contested internationally under the International Mas-Wrestling Federation. Two competitors sit facing each other with their feet against a footboard and grip a wooden stick between them; each pulls the stick toward themselves. The winner is the one who either wrenches the stick from the opponent or drags them over the board.
