Basic rules

  • COURSE 3 STANDARD PROFILES: (1) UPHILL-ONLY (climb-only, e.g., Grossglockner Berglauf); (2) UPHILL-DOWNHILL (out-and-back); (3) CLASSIC MOUNTAIN (loop with mixed gain)

    Signature 3 course profiles.

  • MINIMUM ELEVATION GAIN: WMRA requires ~200 m/km climbing average

    Signature climb-density requirement.

  • CLASSIC WMRA distance: 8-12 km (senior men), 6-8 km (senior women) alternate-year uphill / uphill-downhill

    Signature 8-12 km classic distance.

  • TEAM SCORING: top 3 finishers per country counted (senior), top 4 (junior)
