Peg Solitaire

Peg Solitaire is a single-player board puzzle originating in the late 17th-century court of Louis XIV. A cross-shaped board of 33 holes (English board) or 37 holes (European) starts filled with pegs except the centre. The player jumps one peg over an adjacent peg into an empty hole, removing the jumped peg — repeated until only one peg remains, ideally in the centre. Fully solved by computer analysis in the 20th century.
