Ringette

Ringette is a Canadian ice team sport invented in 1963 by Sam Jacks. Six-a-side teams use straight sticks (no blade) to pass and shoot a hollow rubber ring into the opposing net. The ring must be passed over one of the two blue lines — solo end-to-end carries are illegal. Canada and Finland dominate; the World Ringette Championships run every two years.
