Senet

Senet is one of the oldest board games known, played in Egypt from at least 3100 BCE and depicted in tombs including Tutankhamun's. Two players race their five to seven pieces along a 30-square board (three rows of ten). Movement is determined by throwing four or five short throwing sticks. The exact rules died with the last Egyptian players, but modern reconstructions based on tomb inscriptions and playing pieces have revived it.
