Seven-Card Stud

Seven-Card Stud is a stud-poker variant that was the dominant American poker game before Texas Hold'em's rise in the 1970s and 1980s. Each player receives seven cards over five betting rounds — three private and four exposed for all to see. Best five-card poker hand wins. Its slower, memory-heavy play (there are up to 56 exposed cards to track) has kept it a staple of the WSOP's non-Hold'em bracelets.
