What is Stratego?
Stratego is a two-player Kriegspiel-style board game published commercially by Jumbo Games in 1946 (with roots in the 1908 French game L'Attaque). Each side secretly sets up 40 pieces of different ranks — from Marshal down to Scout, plus Bombs and a Flag — behind a screen. Pieces are revealed only when they attack. Capture the flag or eliminate all movable pieces to win. World championships have been held since 1993.
