What is Super Smash Bros?

Super Smash Bros is a Nintendo-developed platform fighter series in which up to eight players brawl on a 2D stage as characters drawn from every major Nintendo franchise. Instead of health bars, damage percentages build up and launch distance grows — the aim is to knock opponents off the stage. Melee (2001) and Ultimate (2018) have thriving pro tournament scenes.
