What is Surakarta?
Surakarta is a two-player capture game from Java, Indonesia, named after the royal city where it originated. Each player starts with 12 pieces on a 6×6 board that has four looping arcs around the corners. Non-capturing moves are simple slides along the lines; captures must travel through at least one of the loops, giving the game its distinctive spiralling attacks.
