What is Truco?
Truco is a bluffing trick-taking card game brought from Spain to Latin America, where it flourished into distinct Argentine, Uruguayan, Brazilian and Chilean national variants. Played with a Spanish 40-card deck, in three-trick rounds. Beyond the tricks themselves, players constantly bid 'Truco!', 'Retruco!' and 'Quiero vale cuatro!' — increasing the stake on the round's value, with heavy scope for bluffing.
