Warhammer 40,000

Warhammer 40,000 is Games Workshop's flagship miniature wargame, launched in 1987 and now on its 10th edition (2023). Two or more players field armies of painted plastic and resin miniatures across a table strewn with terrain, resolving movement, shooting, close combat and psychic phases with tape measures and dice. Its rich grim-dark far-future setting — 'in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war' — has spawned novels, video games, board games and now Amazon TV.
