Yubi Lakpi

Yubi lakpi is a traditional Manipuri team sport often described as "coconut rugby". Seven-a-side teams contest a heavily greased coconut instead of a ball, trying to carry it across the opponents' goal-line. All body-to-body contact is legal; the oil makes both the coconut and the carriers extremely slippery. Games are historically played after Manipur's Yaoshang spring festival.
