Basic rules

  • BARREL RACING: 3 barrels in cloverleaf pattern — rider races into arena, circles each barrel (right, left, left OR left, right, right), then races back to home line; timed to 1/100 sec

  • POLE BENDING: 6 poles in line 21 ft apart; rider serpentines through poles UP + BACK; timed

  • KEYHOLE: rider enters keyhole-shaped chalk arena, turns 180° inside without stepping over line + races out; timed
