POLISH TRADITIONAL BAT-AND-BALL TEAM GAME (16th century+). Ancestor of RUSSIAN LAPTA, ROMANIAN OINĂ, FINNISH PESÄPALLO — bat-and-ball sport family across Slavic/Baltic Europe. 2 teams of 6-14 players; batter hits a ball + runs between bases while fielders try to hit the runner with the ball (throw-and-strike). Similar to a mix of baseball + dodgeball. Historically played in Polish schools + villages; folk revival + youth tournaments continue. Considered a Polish national heritage sport.
